Cyberfight surprised earlier last year when they announced the interest on collaborating with WWE. They even had Keiji Muto (aka The Great Muta) be an ambassador of good faith for both company know that he is parte of WWE’s Hall of Fame. Pro Wrestling NOAH made the first move when they had AJ Styles as the opponent of Naomichi Marufji, Pro Wrestling Legend and current Vice President of NOAH. They had a classic match at NOAH DESTINATION 2025 on July 13th at Nippon Budokan.
Before that match I had the opportunity to do an exclusive interview to Marufuji for PLANETA WRESTLING where he revealed that he was planning to bring WWE Superstars to compete in NOAH.
I got to interview Naomichi Marufuji in his first interview for spanish media. We discussed: AJ Styles, Goals, UK Tour, possible WWE talent in NOAH & more!
It’s in ESP & ENG!

Naomichi Marufuji told me that he wants to invite WWE talent to compete in NOAH. Last year was Shinsuke Nakamura. This year is AJ Styles.

It was revealed later that week that WWE lend NXT’s Tavion Height and Josh Briggs to Pro Wrestling NOAH and they competed in the N-1 Victory 2025, one of the most importants tournaments in al Professional Wrestling.
Later that year it was announced that Yoshiki Inamura was going to do his excursion, a tradition that some promotions from Japan have where they send a talent to a different enviroment where they can learn and experiment before graduation and making their debut with a specific gimmick or character, in NXT as part of the collaboration between WWE and NOAH. This was the first time a Pro Wrestler of any promotion was doing his excursion in WWE while still being under contract with their home promotion.
Congratulations Yoshiki! Newest member of NXT as part of the partnership between NOAH & WWE.
I did told you a few months ago that this was a partnership and not something one sided.
Really happy for my pal!
Please take good care of him, Chef Michaels!#NOAH_GHC #WWE #wwenxt… https://t.co/sGmRimNSrQ

In the last part of 2024 Shinsuke Nakamura and Omos were announced for NOAH The New Year 2025, NOAH’s first show of the year and one of the biggest of the schedule. Nakamura defeated Ulka Sasaki at the show. Meanwhile Omos joined TEAM 2000-X and alongside Jack Morris defeated Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura to win the GHC Tag Team Championships.
Marufuji surprised earlier this month when he announced that he would be representing ABEMA, Japanese Broadcast company, as a Live Reporter during Wrestlemania 41, WWE’s biggest show of the year, in Las Vegas, Nevada. When he made the announcement I asked around and rised the question if he was going to have any meeting during his visit.
Naomichi Marufuji & Yuka Nishizawa serán los corresponsales de ABEMA en vivo en Las Vegas durante WWE Wrestlemania 41.

Time proved me right and on the afternoon of RAW After Mania, Shawn Michaels, Director of NXT, posted a photo with Naomichi Marufuji, posing with the GHC Heavyweight Championship. In his social media post, Michaels mentioned that they had a meeting to discuss future possibilities for this partnership between WWE and NOAH.
Great to catch up with @noah_marufuji_ today.
Always enjoy talking shop with our partners at @noah_ghc. Exciting things ahead as we explore what the future could look like! #WWENXT pic.twitter.com/7DMpUrznKz

There are some wrestlers from WWE like Finn Balor and Gunther that expresed their desire of competing in Japan.
#WWE star Gunther on AJ v Marufuji:
“Great! Both are high class wrestlers. Marufuji was always one of the standouts from NOAH
“I love wrestling in Japan so if that opens the chance I could come here a little bit more often then I would be very happy”#SummerSlam #noah_ghc pic.twitter.com/SPapEF6bgH

We are living exciting times and as Yoshiki Inamura’s excursion is coming to and end and with WWE’s recent announcement of the purchased of Lucha Libre AAA in Mexico and that they will held a crossover show in Los Angeles in June, there are many possibilities that could happen in the next months. One thing for sure is that NOAH won’t be sold to WWE. At least not for the time being. Cyberfight, company that owns NOAH, is very happy with the numbers they are doing in attendance, merch sales, streaming and social media interactions. Most likely will get a crossover show next year. The thing now is if they run it in America or in Japan. Time will tell.
