MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka Win The Vacant AJPW All Asia Tag Team Championship

By: Lewis Carlan

Back on Aug. 6th, Atsuki Aoyagi & Rising HAYATO were forced to relinquish the All Japan Pro-Wrestling All Asia Tag Team Titles due to an injury suffered by Aoyagi.

The vacated tag titles were up for grabs on Oct. 11th at the AJPW “RAISING AN ARMY MEMORIAL SERIES 2026” event inside the Sendai Sun Plaza Hall with an announced crowd of 2,167. MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka faced the duo of Dan Tamura & Seigo Tachibana to determine who would walk out of the event as the new All Asia Tag Team Champions.

MUSASHI & Yoshioka were looking to enter into their third reign as the All Asia Tag Team Champions as they held the tag titles from June 24th 2024 through Oct. 13th 2024 and again from Sept. 15th 2025 until they lost the belts on Dec. 31st 2025.

Dan Tamura & Tachibana had the opportunity to each become double champions as Tamura is the current AJPW World Jr Heavyweight Titleholder while Tachibana is one third of the AJPW TV Six Man Tag Team Champions.

From the opening bell, the two teams fought their hearts out as each seemed to desperately want to walk out as the new All Asia Tag Team Champions. The bout was filled with fast-paced back and forth action as the fans in attendance and people watching on AJPW.TV were anticipating.

The match featured numerous near falls and, quite frankly, could have gone either way in terms of who would emerge victorious. It was MUSASHI who ensured he would secure the third reign for him and Yoshioka after he hit his Niten Ichiryu finisher on Tachibana which resulted in a pinfall win. MUSASHI & Yoshioka were once again the All Asia Tag Team Champions as they began their third reign with the belts.

Shortly after their victory, Shota Kofuji entered the ring to issue a challenge to the new champions and introduced his partner Hideki Suzuki. MUSASHI & Yoshioka faced off verbally in the ring with Suzuki & Kofuji.

While the match between the two teams has not yet been made official, fans can expect MUSASHI & Seiki Yoishoka to defend their newly won All Asia Tag Team Titles against Shota Kofuji & Hideki Suzuki in the near future.
