March 26th saw TJPW continue their 2023 Spring tour in Tokyo’s KFC Hall. In the main event, Princess of Princess Champion Mizuki joined the “Daisy Monkey” tandem of Arisu Endo and Suzume against title challenger Nao Kakuta, “Free WiFi” partner Hikari Noa and Mahiro Kiryu, with Kiryu being pinned by the champ.

Mizuki is set to defend her championship next April 15th at Korakuen Hall against Kakuta, and their encounter in yesterday’s show was nothing short of intense. After pulling each other’s hair, they exchanged elbows before Kakuta managed to trap her opponent into a leg chokehold against the ropes.
Mizuki was quick and agile, but Kakuta was more vicious throughout the whole encounter, even taking advantage of her team moves with Hikari Noa to take down the champion. Luckily for Mizuki, Daisy Monkey were there to neutralize Free WiFi as she focused on Mahiro Kiryu with a smart combo that helped in putting her out of action.

If one double foot stomp wasn’t enough, Mizuki jumped off the top rope with a second one to pin her opponent and win the match. Afterwards, Mizuki opened up about Kakuta igniting a new side of herself that she’s interested in exploring further. The sentiment was shared by Kakuta too, expressing that Mizuki brought new things out of her that she wants to do in their championship match.
The next time we see the wrestlers of TJPW, they will delight American fans in Los Angeles next Friday, March 31st. Mizuki will join Yuka Sakazaki, the previous champion, to take on “121000000,” Maki Itoh and Miyu Yamashita, in the main event. Meanwhile, Free WiFi and Daisy Monkey will face each other again in tag team action as well.
