Kento Miyahara vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima Rematch Set for December 31st

Kento Miyahara will challenge Katsuhiko Nakajima for the Triple Crown Championship at #ajpwMANIAx2023

The rematch to one of the best wrestling matches of 2023 is booked for December 31st. Kento Miyahara will challenge Katsuhiko Nakajima for the Triple Crown Championship at #ajpwMANIA2023. Following the two’s fantastic encounter at NOAH One Night Dream, in Korakuen Hall, back in July, the rivals will etch another chapter in their epic feud which has encapsulated fans all year.

Since arriving in All Japan back in October, Katsuhiko Nakajima has taken the promotion by storm. First winning the Triple Crown Championship from Kento Miyahara’s tag-team partner Yuma Aoyagi, followed by reigning victorious in the World’s Strongest Tag Determination League with Hokuto Omori, Nakajima has plenty of momentum heading into December 31st.

Similarly when it comes to momentum, 2023 has arguably been the best year in the career of “The Best of The Best” Kento Miyahara. Delivering classic match after classic match, in singles competition, as well as in tag-team bouts with his fellow Zennichi Shin Jidai stable mates, every time Miyahara has stepped into the ring, it has been gold.

What’s interesting though is that while Kento Miyahara has a ton of momentum behind him, going right back and reviewing the results of all the singles matches Miyahara and Nakajiima have had, there is one fact that stands out. Kento Miyahara has yet to defeat Katsuhiko Nakajima.

And given the run Katsuhiko Nakajima is currently having as a member of the All Japan Pro Wrestling roster, it may well be win number five, and successful defence number two for the “Genius of the Kick” on New Year’s Eve in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. One thing is for sure though, we can’t wait to see the outcome.
