Mio Momono Returns To In-Ring Action After Being Out With An Injury Plus Full Marvelous Results For July 13th

On July 13th, Marvelous held an event at a sold out Shin-Kiba 1st RING in Tokyo, Japan. The event marked the return of Marvelous star Mio Momono who had been out with an arm injury for the last few months.

Momono was injured during a Feb. 9th unsuccessful AAAW Tag Team Title defense with her Bob Bob Momo Banana tag team partner Yurika Oka against Ryo Mizunami & Sonoko Kato. Momono suffered a left elbow collateral ligament injury which required surgery and rehabilitation.

With her injury now behind her, Momono returned to action on July 13th and jumped right into the Marvelous/Marigold heated rivalry. She teamed with rising superstar Senka Akatsuki as they faced Marigold stars MIRAI & Kizuna Tanaka. In a match that lasted over twenty three minutes, Momono was able to turn her return in a victorious one as she and Akatsuki defeated MIRAI & Tanaka. Momono ensured the win for team and promotion as she pinned Tanaka with a Nagayo-style German Suplex Hold.

In other action, Maria, Riko Kawahata & Johnnie Robbie defeated Sareee, Takumi Iroha & Sora Ayame in a six woman match.

• Yosuke Santa Maria & Ai Houzan defeated Chikayo Nagashima & Amira (12:12) after Yosuke’s Neraiuchi against Amira.
• Ryan Clancy defeated Robert Martyr (13:28) with a dropkick.
• Maria, Riko Kawahata & Johnnie Robbie defeated Sareee, Takumi Iroha & Sora Ayame (14:32) when Ayame was pinned.
• Mio Momono & Senka Akatsuki defeated MIRAI & Kizuna Tanaka  (23:25) after a Nagayo-style German Suplex Hold by Momono against Tanaka.
