Mayu Iwatani & Utami Hayashishita Have A Magnificent DREAM★STAR GP 2025 Battle Plus Full 8/30 Results

The Marigold DREAM★STAR GP 2025 came to Korakuen Hall on Aug. 30th for another night of block tournament action.

The main event was the match all Marigold fans were waiting for as the current Marigold World Champion Utami Hayashishita faced off against Marigold Super Flyweight Champion Mayu Iwatani. The two superstars have history with each other that goes back to when they competed for STARDOM. They met four times in past singles matches with Iwatani holding a 3-1 lead over Hayashishita.

Their DREAM★STAR GP 2025 tournament match was everything everyone was expecting. Iwatani and Hayashishita went at each other in spectacular fashion, each trying to secure a victory and add two points their block total. The two evenly matched competitors showed that a 15 minute time limit is just not enough for them to determine a winner as their bout went the distance, ending in a draw.

Due to the result, both Hayashishita and Iwatani earned one point for their time limit draw. Hayashishita raised her DREAM League Block total to nine while Iwatani increased her point total to five.

Hayashishita and Iwatani joined each other for the backstage post-match comments:

From Utami Hayashishita:

“Who would’ve thought that a singles match after so long would happen here at Marigold with this matchup”

From Mayu Iwatani:

“Utami, it’s a draw! We’ve faced each other at so many key moments, and as expected, you’re really strong!”

In other action, Victoria Yuzuki returned to her winning ways as she defeated Maria to raise her point total to eight. Mai Sakurai defeated MIRAI by referee stoppage as she is now in the lead in the STAR League Block with eight points.

Rea Seto and Kizuna Tanaka both won their first tournament matches on Aug. 30th. Seto defeated CHIAKI as Tanaka got past Misa Matsui.
