Mayu Iwatani to Return from Injury at Ryogoku Sumo Hall

The Icon of STARDOM will return to the ring for the first time since November 10th in a tag team match at Dream Queendom

After a month of no wrestling due to a injury to her finger, Mayu Iwatani will be officially returning to the ring at Dream Queendom – STARDOM’s last PPV event of the year.

Iwatani will be teaming with her STARS stablemates Saya Iida, Hazuki and Hanan to take on long-standing rival Starlight Kid and her own Oedo-Tai stablemates Rina, Ruaka and Fukigen Death.

With no opponent named for Iwatani’s IWGP Women’s Championship defence on January 4th at Tokyo Dome City Hall, a sneaky pinfall by Starlight Kid may put her in contention for the title if she can achieve an upset upon the Icon’s return to the ring. The two were originally meant to face off in the 5STAR GP prior to Starlight Kid’s injury.
