Masa Kitamiya Remains Undefeated After Showdown With Manabu Soya at N-1 VICTORY 2026 in Hiroshima

482 fans made their way to the Hiroshima Industrial Hall East Exhibition Hall on September 17th for the fifth night of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s N-1 VICTORY 2026. On this night, last year’s N-1 winner, Masa Kitamiya, defeated Manabu Soya to claim the current top spot in B Block.

Both Kitamiya and Soya came into the event with four points, remaining undefeated in B Block thus far. Kitamiya holds wins over Tetsuya Endo and Titus Alexander, and Soya scored wins over two former GHC Heavyweight Champions in KENTA and OZAWA.

Kitamiya and Soya faced off in a super heavyweight showdown in the main event in Hiroshima, with neither man looking to add a blemish to their current tournament record. After an extremely hard-hitting back-and-forth contest, filled with big power moves and a nasty spill onto a pile of chairs in the crowd for Kitamiya, TEAM 2000X’s Chairman secured the win following a huge Diving Senton off the top rope for the pinfall victory.

During his post-match comments, Kitamiya stated that there is no doubt that he will win the N-1 again this year, before having a few words for his next opponent, Kouga.

From Masa Kitamiya:

“Hey! Soya! I’m the one who won! You gave me a hard time again, like always! But the win’s mine! Back-to-back championship, no doubt about it! Next is… Kouga… Kouga… who’s that!? It’s OWADASAN, isn’t it! Wake up already!!”

In other B Block action, Titus Alexander defeated Kouga, Tetsuya Endo sneaked past KENOH, and OZAWA scored the win over his YouTube account’s number one fan, KENTA.

N-1 VICTORY 2026 returns on September 20th at the Umeda Sky Building Stella Hall in Osaka with four A Block matches scheduled for the event.
