Marigold Star Victoria Yuzuki Set To Return From Injury On Aug. 9th, Calls Out Chi Chi

Marigold had very good news today as one of its top stars is set to return from injury.

A press conference, as reported by Tokyo Sports, was held today to promote Marigold Summer Destiny 2026 scheduled for August 9th at Ota City General Gymnasium. Marigold United National Champion Victoria Yuzuki was on hand to announce that she will be making her long awaited return to in-ring action at the event after being out for four months.

From Victoria Yuzuki:

“It’s finally been decided that I, Victoria Yuzuki, will be making my return. Every time I went to the venue and watched everyone’s matches, I was just itching to get back in the ring myself.”

During the press conference Yuzuki called out freelancer Chi Chi, who has made a number of appearances for Marigold recently. Yuzuki hopes to face Chi Chi as soon as possible.

From Victoria Yuzuki:

“While I was away, Chi Chi—no, Chi Chi—has been wreaking quite a bit of havoc in Marigold. Well, I don’t know if I’ll be able to face Chi Chi in Ota Ward, but I want to face her as soon as possible.”

While she does not have an opponent yet for her Aug. 9th return, Yuzuki said she intends to defend her United National Title often to make up for her time away due to injury.

From Victoria Yuzuki:

“While I was on hiatus, I left this UN Belt feeling quite lonely, so I intend to have plenty of title matches and defend the belt repeatedly. First up is my comeback match in Ota Ward—please look forward to seeing a brand-new Victoria Yuzuki.”

Yuzuki was suffered an injured ACL during a six woman tag match back on April 19th in Nagoya which forced her to take a hiatus from in-ring action. With Marigold being plagued by the injury bug over the last few months, Yuzuki’s announced return is welcome news for the promotion.
