When Kosuke Sato won the Big Japan Pro-Wrestling Junior Heavyweight Title on May 5th, he knew there would be many competitors that would be targeting him in hopes of getting a shot at his championship. One such wrestler didn’t waste anytime in expressing his desire to challenge Sato for the BJW Junior Heavyweight Title.
Jacob Crane has been very vocal recently about stepping into the ring with Sato and dethroning him for his title. On July 27th, Sato is scheduled to make his first defense of the BJW Jr Heavyweight Title against Crane. The two of them have been meeting in preliminary matches ahead of their championship showdown and things have been very heated between the two. In one post-match attack, Crane took the title belt and proceeded to hit Sato in the head with it, taking out the champion.
The situation between Sato and Crane has reached a boiling point as the champion revealed on social media that he has real hatred for his challenger. He invited the fans to come to Korakuen Hall on July 27th to see a new side of him.
From Kosuke Sato:
“This will be my first title defense match. I hate Jacob right now. I will show my hatred for the first time in the match. Please come and see the new me. Let’s win together!”
With Sato expressing his hatred for Crane and vowing to show the fans a new side of himself, one must wonder if Crane’s mind games are working on the champion. Crane has seemingly gotten inside the head of Sato and remains confident of a victory.
The only problem for Crane is that it took Sato a long time to win his first championship and he has no intention of losing it on July 27th.
Jacob Crane was recently interview by Monthly Puroresu. That exclusive interview can be read here.
