Konosuke Takeshita Wants to Face Yuki Ueno at a DDT Event in the Tokyo Dome

Returning to DDT to help celebrate Yuki Ueno’s 10th anniversary, Konosuke Takeshita shared some lofty ambitions he has for the promotion. Sharing a moment to close the show in Korakuen Hall, Takeshita shared that should DDT run the Tokyo Dome, he wants to face Ueno there.

Ueno capped off his 10th anniversary event with a main event match against 37KAMIINA stablemate Shunma Katsumata. After picking up the victory, Ueno had a moment with Katsumata before Takeshita made his way into the ring. Taking the microphone, Takeshita congratulated Ueno on his career landmark, before teasing a potential clash between them:

Congrats on 10 years Yuki. You became a wrestler after watching me, and now its 10 years. I got so many things to say in front of these fans. But if you wanna hear more watch our podcast… Congratulations on the 10 years! Tokyo Dome…I want to be at the DDT Tokyo Dome. I will be the one to face you when it happens. Look forward to it.

The prospect of DDT running the Tokyo Dome was a topic of discussion in the lead up to Wrestle Peter Pan and the main event between Ueno and MAO. Both Ueno and MAO spoke on the topic in interviews leading up to Wrestle Peter Pan, including MAO’s recent interview with Monthly Puroresu. In discussing the topic, both men did so knowing that it would be a huge undertaking and a huge goal for DDT to work towards. However, if DDT keep going from strength to strength, it could end up as a very real possibility.
