Ken -HELLBROS- is a rising star in the organization and we are thrilled to be able to share this exclusive chat, with help from our translator.

Monthly Puroresu: Japanese Puroresu is going through a boom period here in the West, as the internet ties us ever closer and personalities like Minoru Suzuki and Kenny Omega capture people’s imaginations. To those who haven’t watched it yet, why should we be checking out the wild and entertaining combat on Triple-6 (666)?
Ken -HELLBROS-: 666 has a lot of underground elements that are not found in other organizations. It can’t be explained really by words, if you watch it on video or live, you will get the 666 virus! Hahaha!

2. Monthly Puroresu: The style we can see from promotions like BASARA and 666 are totally different from the sports-centric presentation of NJPW. Do you think we can be fans of both?
Ken -HELLBROS-: Of course! Indie organizations do what major organizations can’t do. Especially 666, which can’t be imitated!

3. Monthly Puroresu: From what I’ve seen on YouTube KEN and RYU are charismatic and wrestle a unique style. What brought you two together? What’s it been like training as a tag-team? Are you guys into video games and fighting games?
Ken -HELLBROS-: The reason I started wrestling is because Ryu invited me!! I wasn’t opposed to it because I liked wrestling from a long time ago!! Training for tag-team is me mainly trying to pursue new things!! Of course, we value the originality!! I don’t have matches very much!!

4. Monthly Puroresu: I understand Triple 6 was designed from the Underworld, and crazy match stipulations are not uncommon — what are some memorable matches you’ve had thus far?
Ken -HELLBROS-: I remember all of my matches!! The newest memory is my debut match! It is a match that made me realize that from here on out I am a pro wrestler.

5. Monthly Puroresu: From what I’m told the 666 roster is able to learn from guys like Masato Tanaka and Jun Kasai. Have you learned anything from them? What is it like to grow under their tutelage?
Ken -HELLBROS-: Of course, there are many things that I can learn from Jun Kasai and Masato Tanaka!! But I’ve especially learned a lot from veteran wrestlers, who cared for me when I was a trainee under Onryo and Banana Senga.

7. Monthly Puroresu: Finally, what has 2020 taught KEN and RYU — and what are the big achievements you’ve set your sights on in both the immediate and distant future?
Ken -HELLBROS-: A year has come and gone in no time since I made my debut as a tag team wrestler. Anyway, I would like to improve my skills and compete as a famous tag team wrestler. After that, I will be happy if I can reach my goal of acquiring the belt!

7. Monthly Puroresu: 最後に、2020年はKENとRYUにとってどのようなことを学ぶことができましたか?そして、近い将来 また、遠い将来の大きな目標は何ですか?
Ken -HELLBROS-、タッグ屋としてデビューを果たし、あっという間の年でした!! とりあえず、スキルアップして名だたるタッグ屋と 負を重ねて行きたいと思います!! その先に、ベルトに絡めたらなと!!
