Kaito Kiyomiya Says He Plans to Give His Body and Soul to Make This the Greatest N-1 VICTORY in History

On September 14th, Pro Wrestling NOAH’s N-1 VICTORY 2026 rolled on at the Okayama Convention Center with 388 fans in attendance to witness to four A Block matches. One of those matches was the long awaited singles meeting between Kaito Kiyomiya and Shane Haste.

History between Kiyomiya and Haste dates back to when Kiyomiya joined the NOAH dojo, when Haste was an active member of the roster before leaving the promotion for opportunities in America. Prior to being placed in the same block in this year’s N-1, Haste had expressed interest about wanting to face Kiyomiya in a singles match, to witness firsthand how far Kiyomiya has come since those early days.

Both Kiyomiya and Haste laid it all on the line in the main event in Okayama, with Kiyomiya picking up a hard-fought victory over Haste, keeping the momentum in his favor after defeating Alpha Wolf at the tournament opener.

Kiyomiya was able to secure the win via submission in just under twenty minutes using Cattle Mutilation on Haste to force the verbal tap out. Kiyomiya and Haste shared a fist bump after the match before Kiyomiya told the crowd his plan of returning to Okayama after winning the N-1 and then the GHC Heavyweight Championship.

From Kaito Kiyomiya:

“I’m giving everything in this tournament. But I’m the one standing out, and I’m the one laughing last. Winning N-1, winning the belt after, and coming back to Okayama!”

After the event, Kiyomiya took to social media to say that his match with Haste is only the beginning for the two of them. He went on to say that he plans to give both his body and soul to make this the greatest N-1 VICTORY tournament in history.

“Shane and I — today’s just the start. I want to fight him again and again from here. And N-1, win number two! Giving everything, body and soul — I’m going to make this the greatest N-1 in history!”

In other A Block action elsewhere on the card, Kazuyuki Fujita defeated Chen, Takashi Sugiura defeated Yuki Iino, and Alpha Wolf, with the help of Yoshi Tatsu,  scored a shocking victory over Yoshiki Inamura, with all three winners gaining their first two points of the tournament.

N-1 VICTORY 2026 continues on September 15th at Kumamoto Castle Hall, with four B Block matches scheduled for the card.
