On June 29th, New Japan Pro-Wrestling will present TANAHASHI JAM at the Dolphins Arena is Aichi. The main event of TANAHASHI JAM will feature Hiroshi Tanahashi teaming with Pro Wrestling NOAH legend Naomichi Marufuji as they will face NOAH megastar Kaito Kiyomiya & Ryohei Oiwa.
The last time Kiyomiya and Tanahashi were in the ring together was at the June 9th 2023 AJPW/NJPW/NOAH All Together Again event. Kiyomiya then teamed with Tanahashi along with Kento Miyahara as they were defeated by Kazuchika Okada, KENOH & Yuma Aoyagi.
Kiyomiya appears eager to show Tanahashi how much he has grown since they last shared a ring together. Kiyomiya posted on X that he will show Tanahashi a version of himself not seen before.
From Kaito Kiyomiya:
“It’s been two years since I last faced Tanahashi at ALL TOGETHER. This time, I’ll show him a version of Kaito Kiyomiya he’s never seen before. Teaming with Ryohei for the first time in over a year—Let’s see what kind of reaction we spark. ⚡️”
This will be the first time Kiyomiya & Oiwa have teamed together since April 2024. They formed a partnership that brought Oiwa to NOAH for his NJPW excursion from. The two had a falling out prior to Oiwa returning to NJPW in Sept. 2024 but have since made amends.
NJPW events can be viewed on NJPW World subscription streaming service.
