GHC Heavyweight Champion Kaito Kiyomiya has seen better days. After receiving a public humiliation at the hands of Kazuchika Okada in the Tokyo Dome; his next challenger, Jake Lee, kept twisting the knife with constant provocation. The champion refused to say anything, as we reported earlier this week.
Kiyomiya broke his silence yesterday by accepting his loss and even acknowledging a clear gap between the GHC and IWGP’s top prizes at the moment. A gap he’s willing to fill by moving forward and focusing on the next opponent in front of him, Jake Lee.
The leader of the Good Looking Guys unit will fight Kiyomiya on March 19th, marking the fifth defense in his reign.
IWGP世界ヘビー級王者との差を痛感しました。
でも止まってる時間はないと思います。
もう目の前には新たな外敵がいます。

Kaito decided that it wasn’t time to rest and went back to training in order to climb up to prominence again after being astoundingly beaten down, something that is becoming somewhat of a recurring theme in his career if we look at previous important losses.
As reported by Tokyo Sports, Jake Lee commented on Kiyomiya’s tweet, stating that he won’t allow himself to become a stepping stone for the champion to climb onto and that he will deliver the final blow to a miserable Kaito Kiyomiya.
