Back on February 4th, GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Jack Morris & Anthony Greene were giving their post match interview following a successful defense against Dragon Bane & Alpha Wolf when Greene made a surprising statement. Greene indicated that he wanted to be a double champion like Morris who also holds the GHC National Title. Greene told Morris that he wanted to challenge him for the Red Belt and Morris was more than happy to grant him a title shot.
Morris defended his GHC National Title against fellow GLG unit member Greene on February 23 at a Korakuen Hall matinee in front of over 1100 spectators. This was the 3rd title defense for Morris since winning the belt back in October 2023. After a hard fought battle between the two combatants, it was Morris who prevailed after hitting two Good Looking Knees followed by a Tiger Driver on Greene which enabled him to retain his championship.

Following the match, Greene expressed a look of disappointment being on the losing end of the battle. Morris offered a handshake to Greene which was accepted as the two embraced then left the ring together. Morris and Greene are scheduled to defend the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Titles on March 17th against the winners of the Victory Challenge Tag League.
