Ibuki Hoshi will be defending her ICExInfinity championship against Kaho Matsushita at Ribbon Mania on December 31st.
It was back in August that Hoshi defeated Ganbare Pro’s YuuRI to win the title at Ice in Wonderland 2023, and most recently getting her first defence against Mifu Ashida earlier in the month. But Matsushita’s challenge for Ribbon Mania doesn’t come out of nowhere – the two failed to defeat Queen Valkyrie (Ancham and YuuRI) to win the vacant International Ribbon Tag Team championships, and the two went to a time limit draw against former tag team champions Misa Kagura and Sumika Yanagawa.
Matsushita is still looking for the first ever championship win of her career, and even if she couldn’t win the tag belts with Hoshi, she’s prepared to take the company’s top title off of Hoshi instead of teaming with her to get one.

With Matsushita successfully pinning the champion today at the Ice Ribbon dojo, it looks as though the relationship between the two will only continue to worsen in the lead up to December 31st.
Both women are just twenty years old, and Ice Ribbon is putting its best foot forward to clearly highlight the names that will define the future of the company for years to come, starting with their top billing.
