Tae Honma and Ranna Yagami Collide at STARDOM NEW BLOOD 24 in Tokyo

By: Pep S. Caro

STARDOM held a new edition of NEW BLOOD in Tokyo. The NEW BLOOD 24 card featured six matches and included professional wrestlers from various organizations as well as freelancers. The Main event of the show was a singles match between Tae Honma and Ranna Yagami, which was proposed by Ranna after losing the 3 vs. 3 match at Korakuen Hall.

In the opening contest, Ema Maishima and Kikyo Furusawa fought to a 10-minute time limit draw. It was a very evenly matched bout between friends and rivals of the same generation. Both had recently competed outside of STARDOM, with Kikyo competing in JTO and Ema competing in Sendai Girls. There was no clear winner today, but it’s a testament to how much they’ve grown in the past four months since their debut.

In the second match, Yuki Mashiro defeated Fukigen Death and Yuria Hime. It was a dynamic match between opponents of similar size. Yuki made her debut in what was her first match in STARDOM, after sending Yuria out of the ring and rolling up Fukigen Death. In her post-match comments, Yuki thanked the fans for the their support, and asked to be invited back to compete in STARDOM.

In the third match, Rian and Waka Tsukiyama defeated Echika Miyabi and Riara. The Empress Nexus Venus members prevailed over the PPP Tokyo wrestlers. Waka and Riara had great chemistry. After the match, Waka thanked them for their efforts and hopes to see them again.

In the fourth match, Hina defeated Kiyoka Kotatsu. A rare singles match between members of God’s Eye. Hina needed a positive result after losing the Future of STARDOM Championship to HANAKO last week. Kiyoka has been doing fewer matches in STARDOM due to her other work commitments, so having a singles match was a positive opportunity for her. Hina prevailed and offered a few words of encouragement to Kiyoka before leaving the ring.

In the fifth match, Akira Kurogane and Bozilla defeated Soy and Zones. The younger members of Mi Vida Loca prevailed against the representatives of Pro Wrestling Evolution. Soy has lost two matches this week, but against young opponents highly regarded in their respective organizations, making it a valuable experience for her. The interactions between Bozilla and Zones were very engaging, highlighting the two physically strong wrestlers.

In the main event, Ranna Yagami defeated Tae Honma. It was a very close and entertaining match, but Ranna got her revenge just after the 12-minute mark. Tae was able to compete again in STARDOM as a singles contest as part of her retirement tour. The crowd was especially engaged in the action of this match. After the match, Ranna gave the closing promo, and all the wrestlers from the show joined her in the ring, except for Bozilla.
