Hanan Believes STARDOM Trainee Kikyou Furusawa Would Be A Great Fit For STARS

On May 21st, STARDOM NIGHTER 2025 in KORAKUEN May will feature the debut of two new trainees, Ema Maishima and Kikyou Furusawa. Both young competitors will have tough matches as they step into the ring for their first official bouts. Maishima will face AZM and Furusawa goes one on one with Hanan.

Hanan, who is the current leader of the STARS unit, appears to have an interest in Furusawa beyond their upcoming match. Hanan took to X today and indicated that she believes that Furusawa could be a great addition to STARS.

From Hanan:

“Ring name: Furusawa Kikyou. I guess I should just call her Kikyou. From what I saw on YouTube, I have a feeling she would be a great fit for STARS, so I can’t wait!!! Please support us at our debut match on May 21st!!”

Hanan took over leadership of STARS on May 11th following Mayu Iwatani’s departure from STARDOM. After she announced she would assume the role of leadership, Hazuki and Koguma both decided to depart from the faction. As it stands right now, there are only three members that remain in the STARS faction – Hanan, Saya Iida and Momo Kohgo.

With just the three members, Hanan is seemingly searching for wrestlers to add to the faction and right now appears to have interest in trainee Kikyou Furusawa.  It will be very interesting to see if Hanan is impressed enough, following their match on May 21st, to offer her a spot within STARS.
