Good Brothers Advance to NOAH NEO GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE Final

By: Ian McCord

On June 7th at Kawanishi Gymnasium in Aomori, the Good Brothers punched their ticket to the finals of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s NEO GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE when they defeated Los Tranquilos de Japon to win first place in the tournament’s A Block.

Both the Good Brothers and LTJ came into the 10th day of the NEO GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE with 6 points, with their main event match-up being the deciding factor in who will be heading into the finals as the block’s top team.

Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows defeated the current GHC Tag Team Champions, Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI, in just under 16 minutes after planting BUSHI with their Magic Killer finisher for the victory, ending LTJ’s hopes of going to the finals as champions.

The Good Brothers’ opponents for the finals will be decided on June 13th at Kiramesse Numazu in Shizuoka. Currently, there is a 3-way tie for first place in B Block, with Naomichi Marufuji and KENOH, Yoshiki Inamura and Stallion Rogers, and Manabu Soya and Yuki lino all sitting with 6 points.

Naomichi Marufuji and KENOH are set to take on Yoshiki Inamura and Stallion Rogers, and Manabu Soya and Yuki lino will face OZAWA and Tadasuke, with both matches having major stakes to see who will advance to the finals.

For Marufuji and KENOH to go to the finals, they must defeat Inamura and Rogers and have OZAWA and Tadasuke defeat Soya and Iino, since the latter team holds a tournament win over Marufuji and KENOH. If Soya and Iino win their match, they need Inamura and Rogers, who defeated them earlier in the tournament, to lose against Marufuji and KENOH to win the block. Inamura and Rogers path to the finals is a bit more straightforward, with them only needing a win over their opponents on the 13th to advance to the finals at Korakuen Hall.

Naomichi Marufuji took to social media following the event in Aomori to break down what needs to happen on the 13th for them to advance to the finals against the Good Brothers.

Naomichi Marufuji via X:

“So if we win in Numazu and OZAWA and Tadasuke beat Soya and Iino, that means we’re in the finals, right? We can do this.”
