Historic venue and home to PWG, legends alike appear to be set to say Sayonara to the Globe Theatre in downtown LA. Prestige Wrestling promoter William Quintana made the announcement while signaling that future events will be held at The Vermont, the former home of NJPW Strong.
Their upcoming joint show with TJPW is officially moving, as is the A Moment of Violence show that is taking place on February 25th.
The owner of Prestige, William Quintana, said via Twitter, “The show must go on. We pivot when we gotta pivot. The Vermont Hollywood is an awesome venue! Stoked to be there!” Prestige has assured fans they will be notified via email within 48 hours of any changes to the seating.
Also, all VIP seats and upgrades will be honored at the new venue. This will be TJPW’s second appearance in the USA after their March show in LA at the Globe Theatre. It was previously announced on November 15th that Globe Theatre was closing down, but it was later updated that “contracts are in place that will allow the Globe Theatre to remain open for years to come.”
Combat Princess USA is a joint show featuring both Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling and Prestige Wrestling in a series of interpromotional matches. It takes place on December 14th.
