Yuki Arai to Challenge Max The Impaler for International Princess Title

SKE48’s Yuki Arai looks to win the International Princess gold in first title challenge in over a year

By: James Carlin

With Wrestle Kingdom weekend just a little over a month away, Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling is looking to load up their Ittenyon show at Korakuen Hall.

The third match announced is Max The Impaler defending their International Princess Championship against Yuki Arai. This will be Arai’s second attempt at trying to win the title after being unable to usurp Maki Itoh at Grand Princess ’22 in March last year inside Ryogoku Sumo Hall.

Whilst Arai has shown incredible fighting spirit within the squared circle, Max has been incredibly dominant since emerging in TJPW, being a former Princess Tag Team Champion with Heidi Howitzer (winning the titles against Yuki Arai and Saki Akai at this year’s Ittenyon show) where the Wasteland War Party defended the belts three times in promotions across the United States before being toppled by 121000000 (Maki Itoh and Miyu Yamashita) at Grand Princess ’23.

At Wrestle Princess IV, Max put their NWA World Women’s Television Championship on the line in a double-title match against Rika Tatsumi – with the Nonbinary Nightmare coming out victorious once more. Max has already defended the championship twice; once against Kasey in Pro Wrestling: EVE, and secondly against Shoko Nakajima nine days later at The Mountain Top 2023. As they claim in their SNS bio there’s “no Gods, no masters, no idols”, and the champion has no intention of letting Arai slip through the cracks on January 4th.

Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling’s annual Ittenyon show next year will also feature Maki Itoh facing off against current GCW Ultraviolent champion Rina Yamashita, and Next Generation Tournament winner Wakana Uehara will have all her rookie skills put to the test as she takes on the legendary Aja Kong.
