On June 15th, New Japan Pro-Wrestling presented its latest event Dominion at Osaka Jo Hall with a total of 6,525 fans in attendance. NJPW Dominion featured 10 matches with 5 of them championship bouts.
The main event for NJPW Dominion saw the current champion Hirooki Goto defending his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship for the seventh time against Shingo Takagi. Takagi was attempting to regain the title he held four years ago. Unfortunately for Takagi, the Goto Revolution proved to be a bit too much as Goto emerged victorious after a tremendous match to retain the title. The two warriors shook hands after the match as a sign of respect for each other.
In the co-featured encounter, the IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji put his title on the line against Gabe Kidd. This was Tsuji’s fifth and final title defense as Kidd was victorious to become the new IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion. Kidd didn’t waste any time and nominated Hiroshi Tanahashi as his first challenger.
Oleg Boltin won his first major singles title in NJPW as he dethroned KONOSUKE TAKESHITA to become the new NEVER Openweight Champion. Boltin is the 48th competitor to hold the NEVER Openweight Title.
In the Dog Collar Chain Deathmatch, EVIL defeated David Finlay via knockout. Two new members of House of Torture emerged as Bad Luck Falle and Chase Owens joined the faction led by EVIL.
In other action, Tomohiro Ishii & Taichi defeated Great-O-Khan & Callum Newman to become the new IWGP Tag Team Champions. SHO & DOUKI defeated YOH & Master Wato to win the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Titles.
