The 2nd largest crowd in Marigold history of 2,450 fans was in attendance at the sold out Yoyogi National Stadium Gymnasium as the promotion presented SHINE FOREVER 2025.
The event featured the final match for the legendary Nanae Takahashi as her 29 year pro-wrestling career came to an end. In addition, there were a number of championship bouts and the inter-promotional feud between Marigold and Marvelous continued.
Takahashi’s retirement match was the scheduled main event as her final opponent was Miku Aono. In a match that lasted over 22 minutes, Aono emerged victorious as it appeared that Takahashi’s career bowed out in defeat.
Five more impromptu matches occurred as numerous challengers for Takahashi came forward and in the end Takahashi defeated Momoe Nakanishi to finish her career with a checkmark in the win column. Nakanishi can now be called Takahashi’s first-ever and last-ever opponent.
Takahashi received one last ring call and was showered with streamers to put a final end to her amazing career.
The Marigold World Champion Utami Hayashishita defended her title against the tough challenge of MIRAI. This was Hayashishita’s 3rd defense of the Marigold Red Belt and despite a valiant effort, MIRAI was unsuccessful in her bid to become the new champion. Following the match, Takumi Iroha was nominated to be the the next challenger for Hayashishita and her Marigold World Title.
In the highly anticipated Marigold Super Flyweight Championship bout, Mayu Iwatani challenged Victoria Yuzuki for the title. Iwatani recently indicated that she wants to win every belt in Marigold. At SHINE FOREVER 2025, she dethroned Yuzuki to become a champion for the first time in Marigold.
