After Nic Nemeth’s IWGP Global Title defense against Hiroshi Tanahashi in Wrestling Dontaku, his rival David Finlay starred in a brawl in which he got what he wanted: A title match against the champion Nemeth, who has also won the AAA Megacampeonato recently in Mexico and it’s truly the embodiment of a global star.
Finlay was the inaugural IWGP Global Champion after defeating Jon Moxley and now AEW wrestler Will Ospreay in a 3-Way dance at the Tokyo Dome, and with New Japan Pro Wrestling’s paradigm shift (no pun intended) he’s looking to become a bigger champion than both WWE’s Cody Rhodes and AEW’s Swerve Strickland, aiming for the top. The Bullet Club leader is also tired of wrestlers coming in and winning championships like New Japan is somebody’s backyard, so he has promised to be the man to save the company.
After a heated brawl ended the night's action in Fukuoka, Nic Nemeth has demanded to defend his IWGP Global Championship against David Finlay- TOMORROW?!#njdontaku report:https://t.co/hUq9CmmGED

Nemeth’s global status is put in jeopardy by Finlay, who is looking to write his name in history as the first-ever two-times IWGP Global Champion, amidst a turning point for the Bullet Club. Nemeth on the other hand is a solid piece in the resurgence of Hiroshi Tanahashi’s NJPW which is aiming for new and recognizable faces such as Jon Moxley, who has become the IWGP World Champion to some fans’ disagreement. Finlay got to talk about this topic and declared he was going to defeat Nemeth and rule NJPW as the top champion, willing to stay in the company day in and day out. We’ll see what will happen once both men are in the cerulean blue.
