On October 3rd, Chris Vice and Daichi Hashimoto defeated Junya Matsunaga and Tsugutaka Sato to become the new Intercontinental Tag Team Champions at ZERO1’s latest Tenkaichi Junior 2026 event at TOKYO SQUARE in Itabashi.

In the main event, the two teams duked it out for nearly twenty minutes before Vice planted the reigning ZERO1 World Heavyweight Champion, Junya Matsunaga, with a package piledriver to pick up the win for his team.

After the new champions briefly addressed the crowd, Hayabusa and Koji Doi, who were victorious earlier in the evening in their match against Ryunosuke Nagai and Hyo Ogawa, joined them in the ring. The newly formed team of Hayabusa and Doi then challenged the new champions to a match for the titles. The request was initially denied by Hashimoto, but eventually, a match for the titles was made official for ZERO1’s event at Korakuen Hall on November 23rd.

Elsewhere on the card in the semifinals of the Tenkaichi Junior 2026, Naruki Doi defeated Seigo Tachibana, and Vent Vert Jack bested Yuki Toki, stamping their tickets to the Tournament Finals on October 10th at Shin-Kiba 1stRING.
