Hayabusa & Koji Doi Set to Join Forces for ZERO1’s 2026 Furinkazan Tag Tournament

On September 23rd, following Pro Wrestling ZERO1’s Anti-Bullying Awareness event at the AEON Mall Shibata in Niigata, Hayabusa and Koji Doi joined forces after their main event singles match and declared their intent to compete in the promotion’s 2026 Furinkazan Tag Tournament.

After ZERO1 broke the news on its X account, Hayabusa shared a post of his own, stating that he and Doi are now officially confirmed for the tournament and also said that no matter who they face, they are sure to win.

“I really did just go ahead and announce over the mic that the Hayabusa-Doi tag team would be competing in #Furinkazan2026—and it seems that’s now been officially confirmed. I’m grateful. Furinkazan is happening again at the end of this year. If Koji Doi and I team up, we’re sure to win, right? With the #TenkaichiJunior tournament in full swing, you’re probably curious about who will win it, but please stay tuned for updates on which tag teams will be competing in ZERO1’s annual year-end tradition, the Furinkazan Tag Tournament. No matter who we face, we won’t lose. The fun is just beginning.”

Hayabusa is no stranger to the Furinkazan Tag Tournament, having competed in the finals last year alongside Jinsei Shinzaki in a losing effort to Junya Matsunaga and Tsugutaka Sato, who were awarded the vacant Intercontinental Tag Titles. The inaugural tournament took place back in 2009 and was won by the legendary combatants Shinjiro Otani and Akebono.

The dates for the 2026 Furinkazan tag tournament have yet to be announced, however historically the event has taken place during the month of December.
