After being challenged to a tag match by NJPW star Shingo Takagi, Chihiro Hashimoto has found a partner to team up with. Having retained her wXw Women’s World Championship, Jeff Cobb appeared at SENJO to make the heavyweight team official.
At the 176BOX in Osaka, Chihiro Hashimoto made her first defence of the wXw Women’s World Championship against Hyperactive’s Anita Vaughan. As perhaps the only woman in the Sendai Girls dojo who can give Hashimoto a real test in power, Vaughan was a tough challenge for Hashimoto. However, the sheer might of Hashimoto led her to another victory, vanquishing Vaughan and adding the first tally to her defence of the German belt.
Following the bout, Hashimoto turned her attention to the challenge Shingo Takagi laid out. Having been posting online wanting a partner to find her, Hashimoto declared that she had found one. She pointed to the entrance way and NJPW’s Jeff Cobb made his way to the ring. Together, they accepted the match and christened their unit as Team 250kg, a reference to Hashimoto’s tandem with Yuu, Team 200kg.
The match is set for November 20th at NJPW Bound for Unbound at Korakuen Hall.
