Big Main Event Highlighted AJPW SUPER POWER SERIES 2026 Event on May 31st in Furukawa City

The All Japan Pro-Wrestling SUPER POWER SERIES 2026 tour continued on May 31st as the promotion landed in Furukawa City at the ES Central Sports Park Hanamomo Gymnasium for its latest event.

The main event was a huge preliminary bout that featured current champions and their upcoming challengers. The AJPW Triple Crown Champion Kento Miyahara teamed with the AJPW World Tag Team Champion Ren Ayabe and Talos as they faced the 2026 Champion Carnival winner Hideki Suzuki and his partners Jun & Rei Saito.

On June 6th, Ren Ayabe & Talos will make their fourth defense of the tag team titles against Jun & Rei Saito while on June 18th, Kento Miyahara will put his Triple Crown belt on the line against Hideki Suzuki.

The May 31st SUPER POWER SERIES 2026 main event was a hard hitting affair as the fans in attendance received a taste of what they can expect at the two upcoming title bouts. In the end, it was an Ayabe & Talos double chokeslam to Rei Saito that enabled Ayabe to score a pinfall win as the champions proved to be the better team on this night.

Kento Miyahara had these comments during his backstage post-match interview:

“Today marks the end of Round 2. Next up is Round 3 in Kakuda City, Miyagi Prefecture. Miyagi Prefecture, come see me and Hideki Suzuki face off in the ring.”

In the co-featured bout, Yuma Aoyagi, Atsuki Aoyagi & Rising HAYATO defeated Yuma Anzai, Dan Tamura & Shota Kofuji in six man action.

• Ryuki Honda & Kuma Arashi defeated Xyon & Shotaro Ashino (12:35) after Honda’s final vent against Xyon.
• Go Shiozaki defeated Yasutaka Yano (13:45) with a short range lariat.
• Yuma Aoyagi, Atsuki Aoyagi & Rising HAYATO defeated Yuma Anzai, Dan Tamura & Shota Kofuji (14:18) after Aoyagi’s THE FOOL vs. Kofuji.
• Kento Miyahara, Ren Ayabe & Talos defeated Hideki Suzuki, Jun Saito & Rei Saito (19:07) after a double chokeslam by Ayabe against Rei.
