While AZM is in Mexico for the upcoming CMLL Grand Prix de Amazonas, the STARDOM standout will have another huge opportunity. On October 18th at CMLL Domingo Familiar, AZM will face Persephone for the CMLL World Women’s Championship.
The match will be a first time singles encounter between AZM and Persephone, and is currently scheduled to be the first time the two will ever cross paths. Since winning the belt from Mercedes Mone back in March, Persephone has made five successful defences. Her last defence saw her come out on top in a four way that included STARDOM’s Starlight Kid and STARDOM alum Mina Shirakawa.
As one half of the reigning Goddesses of Stardom Titles, this will be AZM’s first time challenging for singles gold since losing the double title match to Saya Kamitani back in September 2025.
AZM will have chance to get some CMLL reps in before challenging Persephone. On October 16th, for her CMLL debut, AZM teams up with Miyu Amasaki to face India Sioux & Lluvia. Then, the following day on the 17th, 02line will face Kira & Skadi.
Other members of the travelling STARDOM contingent will also be in action at Domingo Familiar. Momo Watanabe will face Reyna Isis in singles action. Then, the other half of 02line, Miyu Amasaki, teams with Emersyn Jayne to take on Sanely and India Sioux.
CMLL Domingo Familiar takes place on October 18th in Arena Mexico, with the CMLL Grand Prix de Amazonas set for October 23rd.
