Ami Sohrei Makes Huge Statement In Massive Eight Woman Tag Team Bout at Latest STARDOM Event

STARDOM held its “15TH ANNIVERSARY STARDOM AWARD 2026 IN TAKADANOBABA DAY 1” event in front of 425 fans at the Belle Salle Takadanobaba venue.

The featured match was a huge eight woman tag team bout that marked the the in-ring return of World of STARDOM champion Saya Kamitani. Kamitani had been out for a few weeks due to health issues.

In her return, Kamitani teamed with fellow H.A.T.E. unit members Wonder of STARDOM Champion Konami & Goddesses of STARDOM Champions Natsuko Tora & Ruaka as they battled Starlight Kid, Ami Sohrei, Hanan & Bea Priestley. Kamitani and Starlight Kid got the bout kicked off as the two went toe to toe giving the fans a sample of what to expect when they meet for the World of STARDOM title on Feb. 7th.

The entire match was a wild affair as expected with lots of hard-hitting action and near falls. In the end it was Ami Sohrei hitting her Raiden Shiku on Konami to score the pin at the 15:22 mark to win the match for her team.

After the match, Sohrei, who had expressed interest in Konami’s White Belt previously, took the mic and outright challenged her to a title bout on Feb. 7th at STARDOM SUPREME FIGHT IN OSAKA 2026. Konami accepted and the match is expected to be made official by STARDOM.

From Ami Sohrei:

“I beat the White Belt Champion, Konami! Konami, did you know? Konami, you… you have never once beaten me directly! February 7th, title challenge. No complaints now, right!”

From Konami:

“February 7th in Osaka, was it? I just happen to be free, so I’ll play with you.”

In other action, Suzu Suzuki, Rina Yamashita & Itsuki Aoki defeated Maika, Waka Tsukiyama & HANAKO in a six woman tag team bout. Yamashita defeated HANAKO which enabled her team to emerge victorious.
