It was a night where voices were echoed and tears were shed, as Keiji Muto wrote his final love letter to professional wrestling at the Tokyo Dome. It wasn’t the only farewell, as we already reported with NOSAWA Rongai’s final match taking place here too. On top of all that, Satoshi Kojima has decided to step away from the rings of Pro Wrestling NOAH as well, at least for now.
The bread connoiseur held the GHC Tag Team Championships with Takashi Sugiura up until two Sundays ago, when Daiki Inaba and Masa Kitamiya dethroned them.

Just a few hours ago, Sugiura and Kojima joined Timothy Thatcher in a losing effort against Jake Lee, Jack Morris and “The Alternative” Anthony Green. Afterwards, Kojima spoke to the press backstage, expressing his respect and admiration for Keiji Muto, looking back at his last year in NOAH and announcing that he would like to stay away from competition in the Ark for the foreseeable future.
Takashi Sugiura was left baffled as to why Kojima would go away, or what’s going to happen from now on. “I haven’t heard anything about this,” Sugiura told the press, but Kojima remained certain about his decision.

“Thank you, Taka,” expressed Kojima, while being vague about his future plans. “I will keep doing my best, walking a different road. I don’t know when I’ll be back, as there are many things that could happen, but I’m grateful for Pro Wrestling NOAH. Thank you so much.”
