Natsupoi & Shingo Takagi Team Up to Face Yuna Mizumori & Hirooki Goto at STARDOM Crimson Nightmare

In what many believed might be Natsupoi’s final championship match in STARDOM, she failed to defeat the High Speed Champion, Yuna Mizumori. Upon requesting a rematch, an all-star tag team match was made for STARDOM Crimson Nightmare on October 29th.

Mizumori reclaimed her High Speed Championship after hitting Natsupoi with Kumamoto’s Unsinkable Ship. As the two Cosmic Angels members shared an emotional moment after the bout, Natsupoi requested one more match. At that point, Shingo Takagi’s music rung out in Korakuen Hall. He made his way into the ring and declared he was ready to take on Mizumori one-on-one. Natsupoi corrected her husband, saying that it was a tag team match she wanted. While Natsupoi will team with Takagi, she stated that Mizumori would team with another NJPW star in the form of Hirooki Goto.

Mizumori accepted the challenge on behalf of herself and Goto. The special tag team match is scheduled for STARDOM Crimson Nightmare on October 29th in TOKYO EBARA WAVE ARENA Ota.

Once she reached the backstage area, Mizumori got to reflect on her championship and reuniting with Goto:

No matter how much I’ve changed, Poi-san has always been right by my side, seeing my true self. Thanks to her, I’ve been able to stay so focused on winning and become this strong. Thank you so much! I’ve always looked up to you. And if Poi-san—of all people—asked me for one last favor today… I just couldn’t say no!! After all, I may be the High Speed Champion, but I’m also a member of the Goto Revolutionary Army. To have that bond between those two right in front of me, staring me right in the face…! Goto-san! Now that our paths have crossed again after so long, let’s hold a Goto Revolutionary Army meeting. And let’s work together to make Japan and Kumamoto even more vibrant!

Natsupoi also shared her feelings on the High Speed bout, as well as looking ahead to teaming with her husband at STARDOM Crimson Nightmare.

Natsupoi:

High Speed… I couldn’t win it. I mean, it’s frustrating, but fighting with that belt within reach really reminded me of when I first joined Stardom. I think Yunamon has redefined the concept of ‘High Speed.’ There have been plenty of small, fast wrestlers who’ve won it before, but Yunamon isn’t just fast—she’s got technique and power! She’s the complete ‘High Speed’ package. I don’t think there’s ever been anyone like her before. Yunamon charged down her own path—charging, charging, and charging some more—until she won that belt, and she made “High Speed” her own unique style. I truly respect her. But! I’m not going to let it end here. You’ll be sticking with me on the “Bye-Poi Road” for a long time yet. On October 29th, Takagi-san and Natsupoi will have our long-awaited husband-and-wife tag team match! For that first-ever match, I’d love to have Yunamon and Goto-san as our opponents!

Takagi:

I don’t know what Hirooki Goto will say, but since there’s no New Japan match that day, I think we can make it happen. Thanks to him—and I’m sure Goto-san played a big part in things turning out this way—I want to show my appreciation in the ring by really giving him a tough time in the match.
