Chris Vice & Daichi Hashimoto to Challenge Junya Matsunaga & Tsugutaka Sato for Intercontinental Tag Titles on 10/3

On October 3rd, the newly formed tandem of Chris Vice and Daichi Hashimoto are set to challenge Junya Matsunaga and Tsugutaka Sato for the Intercontinental Tag Team Titles at ZERO1’s next Tenkaichi Junior 2026 event at TOKYO SQUARE in Itabashi.

At the latest Tenkaichi Junior 2026 event at TOKYO SQUARE on September 26th, following Daichi Hashimoto’s singles victory over SHREDDY, Chris Vice hit the ring and confronted Hashimoto.

At first glance, it looked as if Vice was here to settle the score from past defeats suffered at the hands of Hashimoto prior to being sidelined for four months with an ankle injury. However, the mood shifted when it was revealed that Hashimoto had paid a visit to Vice during his time recovering and the two had buried the hatchet and were now on the same page. The duo then revealed their intent to challenge for the Intercontinental Tag Team Titles.

Junya Matsunaga and Tsugutaka Sato then joined them in the ring, with Sato sporting an ice pack after suffering a pinfall loss to Vice in the opening tag match against Vice and Hayabusa. The champions would accept Vice and Hashimoto’s challenge, with the match being made official for next weekend when they return to Itabashi.

Matsunaga and Sato’s last defense of the tag titles was back in May against Hashimoto and Yuya Aoki, where they secured their second defense of the titles since winning them last December after winning the 2025 Furinkazan Tag Team Tournament.
