Back on Aug. 28th, Kouki Amarei kicked off her Marigold DREAM★STAR GP 2026 tournament against Chika Goto. It was an interesting first round match-up as Amarei and Goto are the current co-holders of the Marigold Twin Star Titles.
Amarei was victorious over Goto to earn her first two points of the tournament and she hasn’t looked back since. Kouki Amarei proceeded to win all of her Block D group stage matches with four more impressive wins over Nagisa Tachibana, Rea Seto, Shinno and Megaton.

It was on Sept. 12th with a victory over Nagisa Tachibana that Amarei secured a spot in the quarterfinals which begin on Sept. 20th. She could have taken it easy in her final group stage bout on Sept. 19th against Shinno but that is not her style. She defeated Shinno in less than ten minutes with her patented Amethyst Butterfly finisher to keep her undefeated streak intact.
With one definite bout and two potential matches left for Amarei, she has the opportunity to accomplish something that has never been done in the three years of the Marigold DREAM★STAR GP. Amarei could make history by being the first ever competitor to get through the tournament undefeated.

Amarei touched upon this after her victory over Shinno for her fifth straight win on Sept. 19th at Korakuen Hall:
From Kouki Amarei:
“We went undefeated in the league—could this be a first in Marigo history? Well, to be honest, I think I mentioned something like this in an interview before—I said that winning against anyone other than Gochika is a given.” (English translation via Deepl.com)
Kouki Amrei is set to face CHIAKI in her quarterfinal bout on Sept. 20th. Amarei is hoping she can take her tremendous momentum all the way to the finals and raise that Marigold DREAM★STAR GP winner’s trophy as the first ever competitor to finish the tournament with a perfect record.
