Chris Ridgeway & Drew Parker Become First British Champions in GLEAT After Winning G-INFINITY Championship

On September 18th, North x Wales Strong, the team of Chris Ridgeway and Drew Parker, became the first British Champions in GLEAT’s history, defeating Ryuichi Kawakami and Quiet Storm to capture the promotion’s G-INFINITY Championship.

Basement Monstar Oji was the place to be for NW Strong’s championship win, with the duo securing the victory in under eighteen minutes to capture the title.

Prior to making their way to Japan for this tour with GLEAT, Ridgeway told Monthly Puroresu that winning the G-INFINITY Championship with Parker would be a full-circle moment for the duo, who spent their early years traveling and working around the UK together. Now that they have accomplished this feat, NW Strong can use their title reign to help bring more eyes from the UK and Europe to GLEAT, another goal Ridgeway had mentioned in the interview.

Ridgeway and Parker will have to keep their celebration brief, with their first defense of the G-INFINITY Championship set for September 20th at Umeda Sky Building Stella Hall in Osaka, where they will face the team of TJP and G Sharpe.
