AJPW Superstar Go Shiozaki To Miss In-Ring Action Due To Injury

All Japan Pro-Wrestling made the unfortunate announcement today that superstar Go Shiozaki will be out of action for the next few events due to an injury to his hip.

Go Shiozaki was injured during his Sept. 9th Royal Road Tournament first round victory over Ren Ayabe. The two had a tough, hard-hitting bout which resulted in the hip injury suffered by Shiozaki.

AJPW confirmed that Shiozaki will miss events on Sept. 12 and 13 with a decision to made in the upcoming days about his participation on the event scheduled for Sept. 16th. On Sept. 12th, Shiozaki will be replaced with Hideki Suzuki in a scheduled six man bout. On Sept. 13th, Ryuji Hijiokuto will take his spot, also in a scheduled six man match.

As he won his first round bout, Shiozaki has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Royal Road Tournament but his status for that match in up in the air at the moment due to the injury. An announcement regarding whether Shiozaki competes in the Royal Road Tournament quarterfinals is expected to be made in the near future.

AJPW apologized to the fans who were looking forward to seeing Shiozaki in action on Sept. 12 and 13.
