On September 5th, Pro Wrestling ZERO1 returned to TOKYO SQUARE in Itabashi, where a new member of the roster was added in the form of Koji Doi.
Doi has been competing with ZERO1 since February, taking part in the promotions Fire Festival 2026, and most recently challenged for Junya Matsunaga’s ZERO1 World Heavyweight Championship. Doi started his wrestling career back in 2011 and has past experience working in WRESTLE-1, AJPW, and other independent promotions around Japan.
ZERO1 GM Megumi Kudo made the announcement at the start of the event in Itabashi, with Doi making an appearance in the ring to address the crowd and commemorate the moment prior to his scheduled match against Takuya Sugawara. The new ZERO1 roster member went on to win said match against Sugawara, using his Murderer Lariat to pick up the victory in just over eleven minutes.
Following the event, Koji Doi shared the news along with a photo of himself and Kudo on social media and mentioned his deep respect for the pioneers of ZERO1.
From Koji Doi via X:
“I’ve just joined Pro Wrestling ZERO1. With deep respect for the pioneers who have shaped the history of this organization, I will now compete as a member of the promotion! Thank you for your support.”

Elsewhere on the card, Katsuhiko Nakajima picked up yet another singles victory since returning to ZERO1 back in February. This time, Nakajima defeated Bryan Ishizaka in just over ten minutes, putting his 2026 singles record in ZERO1 at 10-1. Also in the main event, CIMA and So Daimonji were victorious in the special tag team match against Junya Matsunaga and Ryunosuke Nagai after Daimonji used his Black Rain finisher to pick up the win.
