Hyo Ogawa Declares That Kento Miyahara Will Remember His Name After They Face-Off at the AJPW Royal Road Tournament

On Sept. 4th, All Japan Pro-Wrestling held a press conference to promote their upcoming Royal Road Tournament 2026 with all the participants that will be competing in attendance.

The AJPW Royal Road Tournament 2026 kicks off on Sept. 9th and one of the opening night first round bouts will see AJPW Triple Crown Champion Kento Miyahara taking on Pro Wrestling Up Town’s Hyo Ogawa. Miyahara insulted Ogawa during the press conference by referring to him as an “unknown” and vowed to beat him in one minute.

Ogawa, who is seemingly angered and rightfully so at Miyahara’s insulting comments shot back on X today. Hyo Ogawa promised to go all out on Sept. 9th and that he is going to make sure Miyahara will remember his name and everything about him after their tournament bout.

“Who the hell are you?” The superstar asked me that over and over. “I’m Hyo Ogawa, the pompadour guy from Uptown.” No matter how many times I answered, it was useless. On September 9 in Shinagawa, I’m going to go all out, and I’ll make sure he remembers my name, my face, my fighting style, my hairstyle—everything about me. “Wrap it up in a minute?” Give me a break. If Ogawa can pull off a victory over Miyahara on Sept. 9th and move on to the second round of the tournament, it will be considered to be a massive upset of epic proportions. Miyahara has reiterated on social media that he plans on defeating Ogawa in one minute.
