Haru Kazashiro & Yuki Aino Earn Tag Team Title Shot for TJPW Wrestle Princess VII

TJPW kicked off their fall tour with the Ray of Hope in Yokohama, starting the road to Wrestle Princess VII. In Yokohama, the next challengers for the Princess Tag Team Championships were decided as Haru Kazashiro and Yuki Aino earned their shot.

Kazashiro and Aino competed in a chaotic three-way match against Kick Slash and the duo of HIMAWARI and Toga. With six women all looking to book a spot at TJPW Wrestle Princess VII, there was lots of tandem offense, double teams and 2-on-1s, giving the referee a tough task of keeping track of the legal partners. Kazashiro and Aino finally managed to isolate HIMAWARI, hitting her with the Updraft!! Overdrive and scored the pin.

In the backstage comments, Kazashiro and Aino looked forward to challenging for the titles again after they failed back in January.

Kazashiro:

When the chance to challenge for the tag team belt comes around again this year, Kazashiro from back in January won’t be around, so I really think it’s great that I’m teaming up with Yuki right now. I believed in her, and I’m glad I did. We earned the challenge rights through trust and love.

Aino:

I believe that as long as I’m with Haru, we can climb as high as we want, so by fighting Yamashita and Hattori, and HIMAWARI & Toga to seize that title shot, I feel our bond has grown even stronger. So, Daydream, you better watch out!

Earlier in the show, the reigning Princess Tag Team Champions, Miu Watanabe and Rika Tatsumi were in action. They kept their skills as a duo sharp with a win over Kira Summer and her fellow Aussie, Marz.

TJPW Wrestle Princess VII takes place at TOKYO EBARA WAVE Arena Ota on October 3rd.
