Anzai introduced himself to the press and stated that being in the movie was the first time he played a character other than himself. He also stated that he hopes he could live up to everyone’s expectations. In addition, Anzai hopes he can use the film to boost AJPW.
From Yuma Anzai:
“I’ll be taking on the lead role this time. I’m Yuma Anzai from All Japan Pro Wrestling. Normally, I really only do pro wrestling, so I have almost no experience with acting like this, and this will be the first time in my life that I’ve played a character other than myself. They’ve entrusted the lead role to me, even though my acting abilities are still a mystery, so while I’m feeling pressure and anxiety, I hope I can live up to everyone’s expectations. I think I’ll manage the action scenes somehow, but when it comes to the acting and the horror elements, there are already so many things I’m worried about. Since we’re filming on location in Annaka City, as an Annaka City Ambassador, I hope to help boost Annaka’s profile. I also hope to use this film to boost All Japan Pro-Wrestling as well, and through this synergy, I hope that *KAI* will reach a truly wide audience. I know there will be a lot of things I’m not used to, but I’ll give it my all, so please support me.” (Translated via Deepl.com)
