Kizuna Tanaka Expresses Frustration at Being Forced to Miss The Marigold DREAM✴︎STAR GP 2026 Tournament

The Marigold DREAM✴︎STAR GP 2026 is set to begin on August 28th at Korakuen Hall as 24 combatants will battle to see who will emerge as the winner of the tournament.

On July 30th, Marigold confirmed who all 24 entrants will be in the 3rd annual Marigold DREAM✴︎STAR GP. One name that was not on the participant list this year was Kizuna Tanaka. Tanaka, who competed in the 2024 & 2025 versions of the Marigold DREAM✴︎STAR GP, is out with an injury and she will be forced to be a spectator for this years tournament.

Tanaka took to social media and expressed her disappointment and frustration that she will miss this years DREAM✴︎STAR GP. She indicated that she believes the feeling of frustration will turn to fuel and make her stronger.

From Kizuna Tanaka:

“I wasn’t able to make it back in time for the league games. It’s frustrating, but there’s no point in getting down about it, so I’m going to focus on what I can do right now. I’m sure this frustration will turn into fuel to make me stronger, depending on how hard I work. I do feel a bit impatient, but I’ll definitely be back in top form. Tanaka has been out since Jan. 17th due to a dislocation and fractured left ankle that required emergency surgery.

Kizuna Tanaka is only 21 years old and is considered to have great potential to become one of the top stars for Marigold in the future.
