Sareee & Chi Chi Sharply Criticizes Marigold, Says the Roster Is Lacking Fighting Spirit

On July 30th at MARIGOLD BURNING DESIRE 2026, Sareee will be making her first appearance in nine months inside a Marigold ring. Sareee is set to team with Chi Chi as they will face the Marigold World Champion Miku Aono & Komomo Minami at Korakuen Hall.

Ahead of their tag team showdown, a press conference, as reported by Tokyo Sports, was held in which Sareee & Chi Chi attended and proceeded to sharply criticize the current state of Marigold. Sareee & Chi Chi took turns talking as they pointed out the lack of fighting spirit of the Marigold roster. Sareee indicated that she feels Marigold is in a state of crisis.

From Chi Chi:

“You hear things like ‘there are too many botches,’ but the reason those botches stick in the fans’ minds is because there’s no fighting spirit. We’re human, everyone makes mistakes. But the reason they don’t show as much in other promotions is because those wrestlers are properly showing that ‘I want to win’ spirit. That is overwhelmingly lacking here. (Rossy) Ogawa-san needs to speak up more and educate them. The wrestlers aren’t your grandchildren!”

From Sareee:

“I really think this is a crisis for Marigold. If they bring the atmosphere of that press conference straight into the ring, I will truly finish them off in seconds.”

From Chi Chi:

“There won’t even be a need for Sareee–san to step in. I will take care of it myself.”

Miku Aono and Komomo Minami were at the press conference as well and Chi Chi commented on Minami seemingly shedding tears as the two teams came face to face to close out the festivities.

From Chi Chi:

“Ending things by just crying really takes away your motivation, doesn’t it? I couldn’t see a single millimeter of determination to win no matter what. I wondered if there is any meaning in a card where the opposition has already given up.”

At one point during the press conference, Miku Aono asked Komomo Minami if she was motivated which Sareee blasted Aono for, stating Marigold is getting worse and worse because of her.

From Sareee:

“Even though the person herself (Komomo) said nothing, she (Aono) asked her, ‘You are motivated, right?’ That kind of kindness is ruining that girl (Komomo). Because Aono is like that, the promotion is getting worse and worse.”

One thing is for certain, the July 30th bout between Sareee & Chi Chi and Miku Aono & Komomo Minami has become very personal. Fans can expect an all out war as Aono & Minami will set out to defend Marigold’s honor while Sareee & Chi Chi will look to crush it.
