Aaron Wolf Admits He Is Feeling A Bit Overwhelmed Competing In His First G1 Climax Tournament

The New Japan Pro-Wrestling G1 Climax 36 is set to kick-off on July 11th in Chicago at the NOW Arena. There is a full slate of Block A and Block B bouts scheduled as G1 Climax 36 participants will battle to secure their first points of the tournament.

Aaron Wolf is set to make his G1 Climax debut this year as he is a competitor in Block B. His first bout in this years tournament will be against the very dangerous HENARE.

Wolf secured a spot in G1 Climax 36 with a Block B Play-In victory over YOSHI-HASHI on June 23rd.

A press conference was held today the upcoming G1 tournament and Aaron Wolf was on hand to offer his final comments before July 11th. Wolf admitted to be a bit overwhelmed but believes that competing in the G1 in his debut year will take his pro-wrestling career to the next level

“Hello, everyone. This is Aaron Wolf. Sorry, um, being able to compete in this ‘G1 CLIMAX’ in my debut year… I’m just a little overwhelmed…—not that I’m thinking that at all, of course. I believe that competing in the ‘G1 CLIMAX’ in my debut year will help me take my career as a pro wrestler to the next level. While my feud with HOUSE OF TORTURE has been ongoing up until now, from here on out I want to compete in singles matches against many different wrestlers to solidify my own strength. Yeah, I want to have some intense, hard-hitting matches, so aside from my match against Ren Narita—who’s also in Block B—I’m really looking forward to all of them. Wolf made his debut for NJPW on Jan. 4th at Wrestle Kingdom 20 where he dethroned EVIL for the NEVER Openweight Title. He lost the title to Ren Narita but regained it on June 14th and currently holds the championship.

He has been referred to as a “super rookie” with a bright future as a pro-wrestler. The G1 Climax 36 tournament will be a huge test for Wolf as he looks to take his career to the next level. In the B Block he will be facing top stars such as Zack Sabre Jr., Shota Umino, Gabe Kidd, Callum Newman and OSKAR. Each opponent Wolf faces in Block action will be a huge test for the rising star.
