Hazuki Attacked by Thekla After Loss in AEW Owen Hart Foundation Tournament

By Noah Leatherland

The first semi-final of the women’s AEW Owen Hart Foundation Tournament took place on Dynamite, with Hazuki of STARDOM taking on Mercedes Mone. Hazuki ended up on the losing side, and was later attacked by the AEW Women’s World Champion, Thekla.

Hazuki made her AEW debut with a win over Maya World in non-tournament action. The STARDOM star then went on to win her first round match in the tournament against the CMLL Women’s World Champion, Persephone. In what was a rematch from their lauded 2024 bout over the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship, Hazuki came up against Mercedes Mone. Hazuki won over the AEW audience, but could not topple the CEO. Mone now advances to the finals at Forbidden Door.

Hazuki was being interviewed backstage when she was interrupted by Thekla, and then attacked by Skye Blue and Julia Hart.

Taking to social media after her attack at the hands of the Triangle of Madness, Hazuki warned the trio that she is taking aim at every single one of them.

Though outnumbered at AEW Dynamite, Hazuki has allies in STARDOM who may be able to help her even the odds.

Having wished death upon STARDOM, Thekla is set to defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Starlight Kid on June 28th. With her attack on Hazuki including an invitation to the STARDOM President Taro Okada, the man himself has replied on social media.

Don’t get too carried away. Why don’t you carry yourself with the dignity befitting a champion?

I’ll be there next week.
