Shun Skywalker States He Has Conquered Dragongate and He Is Changing His Home

The world of pro-wrestling was abuzz on June 4th as longtime Dragongate superstar shocked the Dragongate faithful by announcing he will be departing the promotion.

Shun Skywalker made the announcement at Dragongate’s RAINBOW GATE 2026 event at Korakuen Hall after being victorious in a tag team bout. The crowd created a stir when Skywalker revealed he was leaving the promotion he had been with since 2015.

As reported by Tokyo Sports, during an interview, Skywalker gave some insight as to why he decided to leave Dragongate staing that he had conquered Dragongate and that its time for a new home.

From Shun Skywalker:

“The place where Shun Skywalker belongs is the sky. I feel I have conquered this Dragon Gate sky. This isn’t just a temporary move; it means I’m changing my home.” (English Translation via Deepl.com)

On April 26th, Shun Skywalkers faction PSYPATRA AKA PP was forced to disband due to a steel cage 6 way match defeat. Skywalker denied that the break-up of PSYPATRA had anything to do with his decision.

From Shun Skywalker:

“It has absolutely nothing to do with my departure. Whether PP was at Korakuen or not, this would have been the timing. That was never a factor.” (English Translation via Deepl.com)

After his announcement, the speculation on where he may end up has being running rampant on social media. Many fans are hoping to see Shun Skywalker head to New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Skywalker has had a run-in with OZAWA in late 2025 during a backstage interview so Pro Wrestling NOAH could be a destination for the superstar. A Shun Skywalker vs. OZAWA singles bout would be highly desirable amongst pro-wrestling fans.
