Shinjuku FACE played host to the sixth day of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s NEO GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE on June 2nd, with Lykos Gym picking up their first win of the tournament over ALL REBELLION’s Kaito Kiyomiya and Harutoki.
Lykos Gym and ALL REBELLION battled in the main event, with Lykos Gym coming into the event with zero points and their opponents coming off a big tournament win over GHC Tag Team Champions Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI.
After almost 16 minutes of highly competitive action, Lykos Gym scored the upset victory after Kid Lykos hit a double knee strike onto Harutoki before Kid Lykos II trapped him in a cradle for the 3-count.
Kid Lykos took to social media following the event to reflect on the excitement from the main event victory and having to close out the show.
From Kid Lykos via X:
βThe match today brought out many emotions. Winning the main event & our first 2 points was incredible, but combined with the audience support, it was so special. Then realising we had to close the show on the mic was very scary. Thank you for understanding my bad Japanese.β
Elsewhere on the card, Tetsuya Endo & HAYATA picked up their second win of the tournament defeating TEAM 2000X’s Masa Kitamiya & Takashi Sugiura, making them part of the three-way tie for first place in A Block with Los Tranquilos de Japon and the Good Brothers.
NEO GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE will return on June 3rd at Hodogaya Public Hall and will be streaming live on Wrestle UNIVERSE streaming service.
