Utami Hayashishita Addresses Rumors Of Her Being Recruited By MIRAI To Join Michinoku Pro Wrestling

By: Lewis Carlan

Back on April 25th, superstar Utami Hayashishita surprised the pro-wrestling world when she announced she would be departing Marigold after being with Rossy Ogawa’s promotion from the beginning.

Hayashishita’s final match with Marigold is scheduled for May 23rd and she will be competing in a six woman tag team main event at the Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo. It will be Hayashishita teaming with Takumi Iroha & Maddy Morgan as they face MIRAI, Miku Aono & Mai Sakurai at “MARIGOLD SHINE FOREVER 2026”.

While Hayashishita is expected to become a freelancer when she leaves Marigold, there have been rumours swirling that MIRAI has been scouting her to join Michinoku Pro Wrestling.

MIRAI, herself, left Marigold back in Oct. 2025 and joined Michinoku Pro Wrestling one month later. Now there has been much speculation that MIRAI would like Hayashishita to follow in her footsteps and join Michinoku.

During a press conference being held for the May 23rd Marigold event, Hayashishita addressed the rumours of her being recruited by MIRAI and seemingly gave a “read in-between the lines” comment.

From Utami Hayashishita:

“There have been rumors lately that MIRAI is recruiting me for Michinoku. I won’t comment on that, but if I were to say anything, it would be that I used to live in Tohoku and often went to see Michinoku Pro Wrestling when I was a student. I have even lined up at the merchandise stalls of my favorite wrestlers… I’ll just leave it at that.” (Source – Tokyo Sports, H/T goes to meraWRESTLING for the English translation)

Hayashishita has nine days remaining as a Marigold competitor and fans can expect the “where will Utami Hayashishita end up” rumours to heat up beginning on May 24th. If she were to join Michinoku Pro Wrestling, the promotion would be able to boast a terrific one two punch in the form of MIRAI and Hayashishita.

Despite all the speculation of where Hayashishita will end up, she could very well remain a freelancer much like Sareee. There is only one person who knows for sure where Utami Hayashishita will end up and that person’s name is……Utami Hayashishita.
