MIRAI States She Is Willing To Return to Marigold to Help Fill The Void Left By Recent Injuries and Departures

By: Lewis Carlan

Marigold has run into unfortunate luck over recent weeks.

First, Rossy Ogawa’s promotion lost a number of key competitors as Mayu Iwatani, Victoria Yuzuki & Erina Yamanaka are out indefinitely due to various injuries suffered by all.

If that wasn’t enough to damper the spirits of Marigold fans, Utami Hayashishita made a shocking announcement on April 25th that she will be departing Marigold with her last match for the promotion set for May 23rd.

Rossy Ogawa spoke with the press recently and said “There’s no use dwelling only on the negatives. Times like these are when we must turn a crisis into an opportunity. All we can do is count on the wrestlers to give it their all.”

Now, a former star of Marigold has indicated that she would be willing to return to her former promotion and assist them during this tough time for the promotion.

MIRAI, who departed Marigold back in Oct. 2026 and joined Michinoku Pro Wrestling, spoke with BBM-Japan and stated that she would be prepared to go back to her former promotion and help them get through their current situation.

From MIRAI:

“As far as Marigold is concerned, they have a big match coming up in Ota Ward, and even though they’ve been dealing with departures and injuries, I really hope they can break that negative cycle and become a brighter Marigold. If I can help them become that brighter Marigold, I want to be there.” (Translated via Deepl.com)

Bringing MIRAI back to Marigold would definitely help fill the void and uplift the promotion even if its just for a month or two. MIRAI enjoyed great success during her time with Marigold and fans would welcome her back to the promotion. Now that ball is in the court of Rossy Ogawa.
