Pro Wrestling NOAH Responds to OZAWA by Creating Fan Vote to Help Decide the Main Event of SPRING MAYHEM RYOGOKU 2026

By: Ian McCord

It was announced on April 24th that Pro Wrestling NOAH will hold a fan vote to help determine if OZAWA vs. Tetsuya Naito or Yoshiki Inamura vs. Shane Haste for the GHC Heavyweight Championship will main event NOAH’s SPRING MAYHEM RYOGOKU 2026 on May 2nd.

Following a disqualification victory over LTJ at NOAH’s LEGACY RISE 2026 at Korakuen Hall on April 24th, OZAWA would get on the microphone to tell the fans and NOAH higher-ups that there will be a fan vote held on NOAH’s official X to decide which match will be in the main event on May 2nd.

From OZAWA:

“Huh? Korakuen Hall is practically empty today. When I was the champion and headlined the show last year, I never once saw a scene like this. This is all Inamura’s fault. I want to ask you all: wouldn’t more fans come to the May 2 Ryogoku event if the main event was me and Naito, instead of Inamura vs. Shane? It’s decided. We’ll hold a fan vote tonight, and whoever gets the most votes will headline the main event. Listen up, you bigwigs at NOAH. We’ll be holding the vote on NOAH’s official X, so please vote!”

Pro Wrestling NOAH would respond to OZAWA by answering The Real Rebel’s demands and creating an official fan vote on their X account. Pro Wrestling NOAH would clarify that the voting results will not decide the main event, but will instead help in the decision making process.

From Pro Wrestling NOAH:

“Please note that while voting results will serve as an important factor in our decision-making, the final match order will be determined based on a comprehensive assessment.”
